The Date

This book… this author…. wow… Louise Jensen NEVER disappoints and her writing (hard to believe it because each book is incredible) just keeps getting better and better….

Something bad has happened to Alison Taylor.

Her Saturday night started normally. Recently separated from her husband, Ali has been persuaded by her friends to go on a date with a new man. She is ready, she is nervous, she is excited. She is about to take a step into her new future.

By Sunday morning, Ali’s life is unrecognisable. She wakes, and she knows that something is wrong. She is home, she is alone, she is hurt and she has no memory of what happened to her.

What’s amazing about this book is that not only was it a gripping psychological thriller that had me turning pages well into the night to try and get to the bottom of it all, but it was also educational. Jensen carefully researched her topic and I think it’s safe to say brought something to the table that most of us have never understood let alone heard of.

Jensen is never an author to disappoint and without a doubt there are never any loose ends at the conclusion.. How she does it is beyond me because she weaves and she creates and she weaves some more until you just have to keep reading because surely there isn’t a viable reason for it all? But there is…

I can’t wait for the next book by Louise Jensen, every single read is a treat (maybe one that leaves you without any fingernails but a treat all the same…!)
