How will my book be packaged?

Spoilers ahead! If you order your book in a box, you will receive extra treats, the content of which may vary.

Generally we include four beverages (two sachets of tea and two sachets of coffee). We also include a tasty treat and a brand new copy of the book that you’ve purchased along with a postcard.

The book is hand-wrapped in brown paper and tied with string, with a wax seal to finish it off.

If you order your book on its own, it will arrive wrapped in our signature purple tissue paper.

If you choose to have your book gift wrapped, it will be hand-wrapped in brown paper and tied with string, with a wax seal to finish it off.

All orders include complimentary bookish stickers or a bookmark.

Are packaged materials recyclable?

Every single order that we process is packaged in as much eco-friendly packaging as possible. We always ask that you check your local recycling policies.

Inside our book boxes we included shredded packaging material – this is either a light, bio-degradable void fill made from shredded timber and naturally dried – or zigzag shredded paper.

Individual orders are packaged in recyclable tissue paper, brown eco-friendly tape and cardboard casing. We try and source products from external suppliers that also pay attention and care to packaging.

Do you ship to my location?

We currently ship to the UK and a limited number of European countries. We cannot ship to PO Boxes or Military addresses. Please be aware that many titles have territory restrictions and not all books are able to be sent to all countries.

If you are overseas from the United Kingdom and would like to place an order, please contact us via our  Contact Us Page with the item you would like to purchase and your shipping address. We will then respond with an accurate shipping quotation.

Contents of our book boxes may have to be adapted depending on where they are being shipped to.

We cannot be held responsible or liable for any additional customs and tax charges that may be added in transit.

Do you offer a bespoke service?

We LOVE finding the right book for you so this is a service that we offer with great delight. Head to our Contact Us Page for ways to get in touch. We can order in most books, and we’re more than happy to match you to your next read too.

We can also curate a special book box if you’re looking for something in particular and we often work with Authors and publishers to create something a little special to go with specific titles.

Can I order a gift for someone else?

Sharing the bookish love is what we’re all about so we actively encourage you purchasing a title for another fellow bookish pal.

Just make sure you include their address at checkout, or email us shortly after you have submitted your order.

There is the option to include a gift message, which is hand-written onto a book-themed tag and added to the order.

If you gift a subscription, you can provide us with the recipients email address for the voucher and questionnaire to be sent to them, or send on from your own email.

How long will my order take?

Titles that have already been published will usually be processed within a maximum of three working days of receipt of payment and will be shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48 if you’re in the UK or Royal Mail International if you’re not.

Bespoke requests may take longer and pre-orders will be shipped on or around publication day.

Do you accept book review requests?

We’re happy to consider all book review requests but it is not possible to agree to them all. Do get in touch via our  Contact Us Page with as much information as possible and we will get back to you.

Whilst we welcome reading copies, we like to agree these prior to you sending them to ensure that we have space in our review schedule, so please don’t send books prior to doing this.

I’m an Author, would you be interested in stocking my book?

We’re always keen to explore new titles and varied genres and we consider every request that we receive from Authors. Please message us via the Contact Us Page with as much detail as possible and we will review and respond as soon as possible.

Please don’t send us your books before first speaking to us and whilst we welcome reading copies, we like to agree these prior to you sending them to ensure that we have space in our review schedule.

Returns and Cancellations

If an order is placed in error by you (e.g. a duplicate or accidental order, or change of mind), then your refund may incur the merchant fee that was taken for the original payment. You may however exchange any order whole or in part for a similarly priced item or items instead (subject to stock availability). In the first instance please message us via our  Contact Us Page with your order number to discuss your options within three working days.

Signed and/or dedicated book orders are not able to be cancelled. Due to the nature of our book boxes, we cannot accept returns.
