Our thoughts…

The second book in the Paradise trilogy from Elin Hilderbrand is just as good as the first! You can read our review of book one here. We’re taken back to St. John again – it’s worth noting that all of the blurbs attached to this book state ‘A year ago Irene Steele had the shock of her life…’ but the book itself seems to be just three weeks since we left off from book one. Either way it doesn’t detract from the book at all but can be a little confusing if you focus on time frames.

The setting, the characters, the boat trips, the romance, the food and the underlying mystery are all there. There’s plenty of suspense, secrets and Drama from the Queen of Contemporary Fiction. It ends on a cliffhanger – so be warned that you will want to jump straight into book three!

About the Book…

Secret lives and new loves emerge in the bright Caribbean sunlight . . .

But that wasn’t Irene’s only shattering news: he’d also been leading a double life on the island of St. John, where another woman loved him, too.

Now Irene and her sons are back on St. John, determined to learn the truth about the mysterious life – and death – of a man they thought they knew. Along the way, they’re about to learn some surprising truths about their own lives, and their futures.
