Meet the Authors

We are delighted to confirm that in 2026, the original Tea Leaves & Reads Literary Festival Author Quartet will be returning once again. Miranda Dickinson, Emma-Claire Wilson, Amanda Prowse and Ella Allbright are founding Authors from our very first festival back in 2024. Amanda Prowse will take on the role of compère for the entire weekend, guiding audiences through the programme with her trademark humour, warmth and insight.

Behind the scenes, plans are already well underway to create a rich, inspiring and truly memorable festival, featuring thought-provoking conversations, special events and standout moments that celebrate the very best of writing and storytelling. Testimonials

Here’s what some of our 2025 festival goers had to say about our last event

This girl would not normally walk into a pub on her own so to drive 3.5 hours to go to a festival with people she’d never met is a testament to what tea leaves & reads have created. We hugged, laughed & cried & everyone was so welcoming. Amazing mix of authors & great value for money. Bring on 2026.

Sian

An anxious pre menopausal woman with no confidence travelling on a train for 90 miles on her own, not knowing anyone in person, just conversations over messenger. But greeted by lovely like minded people with the same passion”BOOKS”. We shared personal stories, over drinks, we listened to authors stories, some even experiencing the same issues in life. Lots of tears where shed, lots of hugs given, but truly a fantastic weekend and can say made friends for life, be them fellow book lovers or authors. From an eclectic selection of authors across all genres and lovely food and unlimited Tea and Coffee, what more could a book lover need. Worth every penny. Looking forward to September 2026, to see what wonderful things created by all involved.

Tracy

Had a fantastic day listening to some really interesting discussions between the authors, eating yummy treats with really friendly bookish people. Will definitely be doing the full weekend this year!

Michelle

Come for the amazing author lineup, inspiring and informative panels. Walk away with a heart full of joy, a very long “to be read” list, quite possibly arm/bootfuls of books and make friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

Lauren

Tea Leaves and Reads book festival is an absolute must for book lovers. It was my first ever book festival, I went for the incredible author lineup and stayed for the inspiring, emotional informative panels that leave me buzzing with excitement. You’ll walk away with a heart full of joy, a massively extended “to be read” list, and quite possibly bags (or bootfuls in my case!) of books. More than that, you’ll leave with genuine friendships and memories of so much laughter and fun that will last a lifetime. A truly wonderful celebration of books and community.
