the surrogate

‘ You know that feeling? When you want something so badly, you almost feel you’d kill for it? Be careful what you wish for…’

This book. Hoinestly. There is nothing that hooks me more than psychological thrillers and I think if my reading world was full of books by Sophie Hannah or Louise Jensen forevermore then that would be just fine with me! Louise Jensen is a master at bringing the past into the present whilst also throwing us off a metaphorical cliff into the current crisis.

Kat and her husband Nick have tried almost everything to become parents and are almost ready to give up. Queue Kat’s childhood friend Lisa, appearing on the scene. The perfect Surrogate? You really don’t want to think so… The book follows Kat’s journey into trying to consume herself with motherhood whilst also dipping back into the past to find out just what links these characters together…

Take a weekend for this one because you will NOT want to put it down!
