I really liked this book!  It was such an interesting read from three different perspectives, and I loved the nods to Little Women throughout.  It never felt like a modern re-telling, which I really liked, but there were little touches that made me think of Little Women and I thought that was done really well. 

It made me laugh, cry and sometimes feel so frustrated at some of the things the characters did!  The three daughters were all quite annoying to begin with, but that eased through the chapters.  I definitely think it was intentionally written this way so that the reader could appreciate the journeys they were each on. 

As a mum, I found parts of this so relatable.  I have boys, so my experience is obviously different to the relationships in the book, but I could really relate to the complexities of sibling relationships, the whole idea of growing up as a young girl and the lengths a mother will go to for her children.

I really enjoyed the writing style.  I thought the author did such a good job of making each point of view feel different, so you could almost tell who you were reading just by the way they were written.  I loved that each character had their own voice and personality that came through in their chapters, and the first-person POVs made it easy to put yourself in their shoes and understand how they were feeling at that moment.

Overall, such a lovely, heartwarming book that made me laugh, cry, get frustrated and really care about the characters – a very enjoyable read.
