A wonderfully cosy, second-chance enemies-to-lovers festive romance.

Christmas in the picturesque village of Willowbrook should be dreamy – twinkling fairylights, snow in the air, and a busy time for Amélie in the repair workshop she owns, restoring furniture and mending treasured objects for locals to give as Christmas gifts. But in the tiny community, Amélie keeps bumping into her ex, Jack – and it’s killing her festive feeling.

If you’re ready to cosy up with your next dose of winter warmers, spine-tingling chills, and heart-racing thrills, or eager to stock up on atmospheric reads perfect for long, frosty nights, then look no further than our Winter Warmers & Chills Feature – bringing you the freshest literary picks of this season.

Sometimes the only way to rebuild is to face the past you tried to escape…

On the night Fliss loses everything – her beloved hotel ravaged by fire and fiancé exposed as a cheat – she receives devastating news: her estranged mother has died. They hadn’t spoken in fifteen years and Fliss has stayed away for her own self-preservation.
Summoned to a dilapidated guesthouse in France for the reading of the will, Fliss is stunned to discover she has been left all her mother’s possessions.

We often read and review books ahead of publication thanks to the generosity of many authors and publishers that we are connected with which helps us to know what’s coming and what we should be putting in our boxes.

Although strictly speaking it’s not yet Winter, it felt like the perfect time to get ahead of the season and celebrate three fabulous winter fiction Authors. We were delighted to welcome back Cressida McLaughlin, and for the first time, Emily Stone & Jenny Bayliss, to the […]
Our now dubbed ‘Historical Fiction’ reading group has embarked on another challenge and we’re making our way through The Joubert Chronicles, starting with Book One, The Burning Chambers. For me it’s my first of Kate Mosse’s novel and I instantly loved her writing style. The book’s […]
Oh Freya North, you’ve done it again. This time in the pages of a Novella centred around Flora’s House (remember, from Little Wing?). This is a beautiful story in a stunning setting, perfect for Winter reading. It will break your heart a little bit, and then […]
