The story also touches upon more serious themes, including misogyny, toxic masculinity and the frustration women can feel when men who behave terribly appear to escape the consequences of their actions. 

Fans of Katy Brent’s previous books will not be disappointed. This book has everything we’ve come to expect: dark humour, entertaining chaos, revenge, murder, female rage and justice. And, of course, plenty of those laugh out loud moments we all love. 

Although the previous books in the series allow for Kitty’s character to develop this is one I believe can also be read as a standalone (although it will make you want to go back and read the first two!). 

This isn’t your usual serial killer thriller. Katy balances the violence with sarcasm and humour making the book one you won’t want to put down.
