The perfect holiday romantic comedy fiction novel about friendship and laughter – with thanks to Dawn for her review!

I am a very visual person and so a good book cover is a must for me and this one is superb!  It made me want to slip on a bikini, pull up a deck chair and cheers along with them!  I wouldn’t have been able to walk past this in a book shop!  It is a later in life fiction book that explores the relationship between three women who have been friends since school.  This is my first book of its kind and I enjoyed it so much that I immediately ordered her debut novel “Still Got It”.  Whilst both books are part of the Greek Getaways series, they are stand alone and so you can dive straight in with this.

“Sixty, sexy, and ready for a Greek odyssey” – what a tag line! The storyline follows three lifelong friends (Sofia, Maddie and Charlotte) as they explore three different Greek islands over three weeks.  The setting was truly stunning and I could totally imagine myself there!  The food and drink descriptions even had me hungry at times!

I loved every character – each one had a secret tied to recent life-changing events which are uncovered at various stages throughout the book.  The viewpoint changed at different times, a subtle switch which cleverly allowed me to understand them more and get to know them more deeply.  Each woman has her own emotional journey over the course of the three weeks and I was swept along rooting for each of them – I loved the support that they provided for each other and it was so rewarding to see each of them grow.

Overall this is a beautiful story about love and friendship, that will transport you to the Mediterranean right from that first page.  Perfect for fans of books with heart!

About The Author

Claire’s love affair with Greece started more years ago than she cares to remember. Corfu was her first destination as a teenager, and since then she has travelled extensively around the country, particularly the islands, and is even learning Greek, very slowly. Claire is a long-time journalist and tv producer, who has worked in features, showbiz and interiors. She is married with two grown up children and lives in southwest London.
