An enjoyable novel that gives depth to human life in a crisis and in turn relatable to current affairs (but not too relateable!) Children have grown up in an isolated community, how can they cope outside of this? There are tense moments, there are dark moments and there are sad moments. But there are uplifting elements too, even in a crisis. A great that makes you wonder, what if?

About The Author
Heather Critchlow grew up in rural Aberdeenshire and trained as a business journalist after studying history and social science at the University of Cambridge. Her short stories have appeared in crime fiction anthologies Afraid of the Light, Afraid of the Christmas Lights and Afraid of the Shadows. She lives in St Albans.
