About the Book…
A missing sister…
In the depths of the Norwegian polar nights, fifteen-year-old Tana disappears. Her three sisters are haunted by the last argument they had with her, and her parents’ marriage disintegrates in the wake of her loss.
A family curse…
Eighteen years later in Nantucket, Tana’s sister Mira cannot shake the memories, and when a new love blossoms with a man who remembers her family, she finds herself torn between the past and the present. Did Tana come to harm in the arctic wilderness, lured by the shimmer of the Northshine in the darkness? Or was her disappearance their family’s fault, caused by the curse that their mother claims has followed them through the generations?
A secret waiting to be told…
Centuries before, a woman named Brigid is accused of witchcraft. What links her fate to the missing sister? Why does Tana’s mother suffer from memories of drowning? And will Mira be able to connect two mysteries before the Northshine claims another Harkness woman?
A dual narrative, sweeping mystery with heart, Northshine is the first in a new quartet following the Harkness sisters and the mystery of their family…
