About The Author
BAFTA and RTS award-winning presenter, Matt Baker MBE, is a much-loved face on British TV. He began his career on Blue Peter, quickly establishing himself as one of the best loved presenters in the show’s history. Matt is a well-known face across British television as the former co-host of The One Show and ongoing presenter of Countryfile.
His TV work also includes his hit show Our Farm In The Dales, alongside Our Dream Farm, Travels with Mum & Dad, Travels in the Country and Matt Baker’s British Isles. As a boy, Matt was a British gymnastic and sports acrobatics champion, and his broadcasting career has seen him join the BBC as a world gymnastics presenter and commentator. Matt was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List in 2022 for charitable and voluntary services to fundraising; most notably as a Trustee of BBC Children In Need and his 12 consecutive years of Rickshaw Challenge rides. His first book, A Year On Our Farm, was a Sunday Times bestseller.
