About the Book…

Too often, we prepare ourselves to endure, rather than enjoy, the winter months. The Gifts of Winter is your reminder that this can be a magical season, rich with natural miracles and spectacular beauty, as well as the perfect time to slow down, restore and reset for the year ahead.

But to benefit, we need to embrace winter, rather than pretend it’s not happening.

Part contemplative, part practical, this transformative guide will inspire you to lean into winter as a period of rest and reflection and learn how to unlock its healing powers so your body and brain can thrive.

Chartered psychologist, Dr Stephanie Fitzgerald, draws upon decades of clinical expertise and her personal experience of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), to show you how to navigate winter’s challenges and uncover its joys.

About the Author…

Dr Stephanie Fitzgerald is a chartered clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist, and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is also a keynote speaker and the author of four previous books, including Reworked: Putting health and happiness at the centre of your career, and workbooks on anxiety and OCD.

Dr Fitzgerald has worked in mental health for two decades, including 10 years for the NHS, before moving to private practice to coach individuals who feel burnt out, overwhelmed, stressed and anxious. She has provided professional wellbeing support to companies across varying industries including Rail, Aerospace, Civil Engineering and Premier League Football.

Having herself suffered from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), her upcoming book The Gifts of Winter draws on her own experience and clinical expertise to redefine our relationship with the winter months, providing insight on how to navigate the darkest and most emotionally challenging period of the year.
