About the book…
Take a Christmas trip to the stunning Tyne Valley via the pages of this feel-good festive romantic comedy by award winning writer, Kimberley Adams. In this standalone story linked to her much-loved Lindisfarne series, you’ll experience the same level of warmth, laughter and happy ever afters.
When Inigo Lindisfarne-Charlton and his brother Hugo return to their family home, Corbridge Castle, for the Christmas holidays, they expect their obligations to be simple – giving companionship to their nonagenarian grandmother, the formidable Lady Dorothea, and overseeing the preparations for Christmas at Corbridge Castle, a beloved family tradition.
But soon after they arrive, staff are called away on an emergency and previously-loyal volunteers desert them, leaving the brothers in sole-charge of their redoubtable grandmother – not to mention organising a celebrated public event! Then, when their rivals decide to hold a similar offering on the same day, it seems that for the first time in many years, Christmas at Corbridge Castle may have to be cancelled.
Enter Barry Big Lad from Lindisfarne, who promises that his Santa Squad can save the day. Lady Dorothea, however, is appalled to see her castle invaded by this motley crew and promptly digs in her very upper-class heels, muttering about ‘standards.’
Can this very eclectic group win Lady Dorothea round and create the best event the castle has ever seen? And will true love manage to bridge the social divide?
